Working with a certified life coach can be a great choice to help you with so many different issues. Here’s how to decide if a life coach can help you.

Working with a professional certified life coach helps you do difficult things easily. We help our clients envision a better future and we help our clients get there through the work we do in our sessions.

My perspective is that many of the situations we are in or the problems we have can be addressed by working with a certified life coach.

For the most part, the issues I see the most are the following:

  • Would you lose weight?
  • Have a better relationship with your partner?
  • Improve relationships with grown children or co-workers
  • Manage your time better?
  • Or just feel better about the life you have?

These are all areas you can improve with life coaching. 

What I love about life coaching is it is so practical! 

As a certified life coach, I help women gain awareness and understanding about why they are currently doing things the way they do and helping them change their mindset and make positive changes in their lives. 

Your personal growth is good for you and it is good for everyone in your life. Your motivation to begin life coaching might be something specific such as weight loss or to find some motivation in life.

When you feel better; everything begins to be better.

How Does Life Coaching Work?

Life coaching helps you change from the inside out. 

When we are trying to change, most of us try to change from the outside in. We believe, that if we change how we do some things, we’ll feel better inside.

Yet, for true change you have to look within to why are you doing the things you do. As you gain awareness, you can change how you feel or you can change your behavior. 

I work with women one-on-one over a period of time, such as 4 to 6 months. This allows my clients to address their limiting beliefs, create goals, and develop self-confidence in themselves. 

The right coach for you will help you understand yourself better, believe in you whole-heartedly, and guide you to change with their expertise.

What Can You Change with Life Coaching?

You can address anything that is a problem in your life with life coaching. Here are some of the common issues that bring a client to coaching are:

  • Weight Loss
  • Relationships with family members or coworkers

  • Goal-setting

  • Not happy and can’t figure out why

What is a Life Coach?

A life coach is a professional who is trained to help clients navigate their current mindset and make changes to improve their future.

A life coach is not a therapist and doesn’t focus on the past.

A life coach isn’t your best friend or mom. A life coach is a completely different kind of relationship.

A life coach sits with you and looks at your thoughts, feelings, and actions and shows you exactly why you are getting the results that you are getting.

Once you are clear on the causes of your problem, your coach will help you create the mindset and strategy to make the changes you want.

What Does a Life Coaching Session Look Like?

You’ll have your coaching session via Zoom, so we can talk face-to-face. The session will be led by the coach and is 100% focused on you.

You’ll bring your issue to the session and we’ll look at it together. We’ll really break it down and see where you are in your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Usually, there is a result that you would rather have than the one you are getting.

A lot of times, just seeing how you are currently creating a result, will get the ball rolling on change.

Your coach won’t tell you what to do.

Your coach will show you how to either accept a situation or help you find the direction to make changes that you want.

How Long Does Life Coaching Last?

Working with different life coaches helped me in many areas over a period of years. This has resulted in me earning more money, managing my time better, and being in healthier relationships.

In my own practice, I have worked with some women over a period of years. As they felt better, they continue to improve their lives in ways they couldn’t see in the beginning.

Many women commit for 4 to 6 months to get started or to focus on one primary issue. 

How To Get Started with Life Coaching?

Start with a free mini-session or discovery call. Almost every life coach offers one of these.

The purpose is to help you get clarity about whatever your issue is and to see if the coach is a good fit for you and if you are a good fit for the coach.

The best life coach for you will help you see things in a different way. Even in that first meeting, you can expect to gain:

The Cost of Not Getting Help

The cost of not getting help is time, health, relationships, or money. I have always been an avid do-it-yourself kind of person. Now looking back, I wish I had found life coaching earlier!

Life coaching  can make a huge difference in the quality of your life! You can make changes faster and more efficiently with a life coach. 

Most of us spend so much time spinning our wheels or trying to fix problems that just seem to stay the same, year after year.

That’s because we try to fix problems with the mindset that created the problems in the first place. 

When you feel chronically stressed, you don’t have access to the mental resources you need to be able to change.

The cost of not getting help can be years spent feeling like you are off-track or not living your best life. 

How Life Coaching Can Change Your Life

It’s not an exaggeration to say that I truly have created a life I love because of my own experience with life coaching. The best coaches always get coached themselves.

While I am still very human, I feel sad, angry, or frustrated at times, I also have access to so many other amazing feelings. Feeling determined, committed, proud, content, strong, visible, vibrant are among some that come to mind.

These are great questions to ask yourself.

  • What do I need help with?
  • How do I want to feel?
  • What would I do, if I could just get started?
  • What am I so tired of and just want to get out of a never-ending cycle of.
  • What would my ideal life look like in five years?

At the very least, really start imagining how your life could be different in the future.
