Learn a quick and easy way to supercharge your day by taking a few minutes to shift your mood. A better mood leads to better thinking. Better thinking leads to better actions. In no time at all you can supercharge your day.

Here’s an EASY process to supercharge your day. By taking a minute or two to shift your mind, you create the atmosphere for feeling better and getting along better with others. An improved mood creates improved thoughts. Improved thoughts create improved actions. Improved actions create, well improved everything.

Over the past two years I’ve written about many ways to live a better life and they’ve worked wonders for my own life. I’ve written about

These are all great and easy processes and I credit them with propelling me into a life I love more and more every day.

However, the other day, I discovered a quick little process that puts the cherry on top of a great life. It makes me feel happier almost instantly.

It’s a way to activate a loving energy. And this process is courtesy of my 3-year old granddaughter who is an expert on being in a good mood. Here is how she supercharges her day.

From her example, I learned how to supercharge my mornings using loving thoughts. It’s something anyone can do.

How you can supercharge your day with love.

Here’s how my granddaughter does it. When she wakes up, she starts naming all the stuff she loves—out loud and enthusiastically.

I love my sissy!

I love my mommy!

I love my daddy!

I love my bed!

I love my toys!

I love my room!

It’s brilliant because you get in a good mood before you have time to get in a bad mood.

Usually when I start waking up, I think of all the things I need to do or something from the day before that’s worrying me.

Thanks to this epiphany, I now start my day with these statements of love.

  • I love my kids (usually by name)
  • I love my bed!
  • I love my coffee!
  • I love my body!
  • I love …

I list a few things until I feel good.

In fact, it feels so good, that I’ve started doing little mental love lists like this during the day.

The first day I started doing this, I immediately felt better.  Not only did I feel better, I could tell my interactions with other people were better.

By better interactions, I mean it seemed like everyone I interacted with from the barista at my coffee shop, to store clerks, to my co-workers were friendlier and our conversations were more animated and productive.

I think this works so well, and may be a little easier than gratitude at times. While, I’m a huge fan of finding things to be grateful for and naming them, when we feel bad, sometimes it’s hard to muster up gratitude.

However, we can usually think of things, places, and especially people we love. We all love somethings.

Now take a few seconds and start your own mental list of what you love.

Supercharge your day with loving statements.

I love my mom

I love my kids

I love my bed

I love my home

I love my job

I love the mountains

I love my first cup of coffee

I love my dog

I love my cat

I love hearing the birds outside

I love the sound of rain

I love my garden

This process is great because you don’t need any special equipment, paper, journal, or anything. Just your mind and its ability to focus for just a few seconds on things you love.

Like my granddaughter, the things you love are simply the things you love. She doesn’t worry about what’s the right thing to love or not, she just loves it. She doesn’t worry if it’s silly to love her toys. She just enthusiastically loves them.

The feeling of love is a powerful shifter of our moods. Improved mood means improved thoughts. Improved thoughts mean improved actions. Improved actions lead to improved outcomes.

A life you love starts with the thoughts you think. Try shifting your energy into a loving vibration simply by thinking of who and what you love.

Little shifts done often can create huge change!

Try it right away and see what I mean.

I love this idea! It’s so simple and yet so radical. I’m going to work on trying this tomorrow morning!

I love this. Having a good day is all about mindset. Starting off the day with such a positive message is a great way to do that.

This is genius! I am SO not a morning person and I think part of it is because the first things I think of when waking is how unhappy I am, it’s cold, I hate waking up, I have a million things to do, etc. I am trying this tomorrow!! Thank you for sharing!
